The Stagecoach Inn Policies:
We are a small boutique inn with only four suites; therefore you will be charged in full 14 days in advance of your arrival.
Cancellations that occur after that timeframe will only be refunded if the room is booked again within the 14 days, otherwise, there will be a $50 cancellation fee per day.
We will refund a reservation that provides notice prior to the 14 day mark less a $50 cancellation fee.
*Cancellations within two weeks that are not backfilled will not be refunded.
*Friday and Saturday check-ins require a minimum 2-night stay throughout the year. Holiday and special event weekends may require a longer minimum stay. Holidays and events include MLK Weekend, Valentine's, Presidents Day, Winter Break, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Events include, but are not limited to: Horse Show, Ironman, 1/2 Ironman, Lake Placid Marathon, World University Games, and other Sports/Olympic-related events.
*We are a non-smoking property. Smoking and candles are not permitted in any rooms or common areas.
*Due to the architecture of our historic building, we are not handicapped accessible, and we do not have an elevator
*Hosted CHECK-IN from 3pm to 6 pm. Later arrival by pre-arrangement. CHECK-OUT time is by 11am.
*We are a Bed & Breakfast/Inn. There are shared common spaces. From time to time you may hear voices from the dining room and you may hear footsteps going up or down the steps to the great room. All of this is very common when visiting an Inn. If you require complete silence and prefer private quarters please let us know we do have a private cabin (boarding house) that is available for rent and we can check on availability for your travel dates.
*Cancellation procedure for a Whole House Buy Out or Event:
This cancellation procedure will be outlined in our Contract.
*Damage: Damaged and missing items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest. Unreported spills/stains/damage requiring excess cleaning may be charged to the guest's credit card at the discretion of the Innkeeper.
*Smoking/candles: Due to the historic nature of our Inn and the beautiful wood features, smoking of any kind and lighting of any candles is strictly prohibited. Guests found to be smoking will be assessed a minimum $300 cleaning fee.
*Children/ pets: To ensure a peaceful and relaxing environment for all of our guests, The Stagecoach Inn has an adults-preferred preference. We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12, including infants and toddlers. We appreciate your understanding as we strive to maintain a serene and refined lodging experience. The Kate Smith Suite is our only suite that may accommodate one (1) dog with an additional fee. Dogs are not permitted in common areas and should be crated if left alone in the guest room.
*The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn has a liquor license where we are permitted to resell alcohol to guests over the age of 21. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on premise.
*We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any personal property or valuables of guests or their visitors.
Dinner Reservation Cancellation Policy:
With limited seating available and an intimate setting, reservations are required. Be sure to book early to experience the cozy charm and unforgettable flavors that make dining with us so special. Summer Hours: Closed Mondays, Open Tuesday through Sunday, 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for dinner.
• For reservations within the next 48 hours, please call us directly to secure your booking.
• During our busiest seasons and for large parties, a credit card is required to confirm your reservation.
• We charge a $50.00 fee per person for cancellations made with less than 24 hours ‘ notice.
• We kindly ask that you let us know if any guests in your party are under the age of 12, as our menu may not be well-suited to younger tastes.

The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is a private residence with four public suites located on the first and second floor. Most Rooms are accessible only by a flight of stairs. The entrance to the Inn is also by stairs and down a long covered porch. Our Inn is not wheel chair accessible due to the age and historic nature of this building.
Not all bathroom facilities for guest use do not contain handicap faucets or a grab bar. None of our suites have a curb less shower.
Our TVs provided in the rooms do offer closed captioning if the source of the transmission contains closed captioning.
